Our project has participated in the “Site Safety Gathering 2019” held by the Construction Industry Council. It aims to utilize virtual reality (VR) technique to promote the safety of working-at-height. The organizer provided each participated project with a VR headset which has pre-downloaded with four training programmes. We organized a launching ceremony for our management staff and workers to experience the fun of VR safety training.
Currently our Safety Officer is regularly providing the above trainings to our frontline workers. In the past, the workers heavily rely on our safety officer to deliver safety messages through tool box talks. With the use of VR, workers can now take the trainings by themselves, and experience the simulated environment, practice the safety procedures, learn the consequence without worrying about any collateral damage.
